I can easily wear these easily for really long shifts. They work GREAT - in fact, they work beyond great. I can concentrate on what I am doing not worrying about the headache I am getting from the head phones, or trying to keep adjusting them to be semi-comforrtable. My own pair, I paid over $70 for, and they were worth every penny. That teaches me to read reviews, but not blindly! Because finally after evaluating the HD-238 for weeks I returned those and bought these again (and paid more for them!). And I still think I made the right choice.Appearance: There are individual preferences of course. The HD-238 is flashy, with chrome around your ears. The JVC design is subtle but elegant with just that little rectangular tab of brushed aluminum on each side (with JVC on it), where it connects to the headband. The remaining black is subdued and very nice. I did start feeling like a geek with the Sennheisers after a little while. And somewhat embarrassed. It's all bass, with no brightness or clarity at the upper end. (I mostly listen to classical music.) Also, I wanted to use them with my regular stereo, but the cord is just too short for anything but a portable device. |
